Pay homage to Philly Vietnam vets

The 25th anniversary of the Philadelphia Vietnam Veterans Memorial will be observed during events at the shrine at Front and Spruce streets on Friday, Oct. 26, and Saturday, Oct. 27.

On Oct. 26, a candlelight and wreath-laying ceremony will begin at 6:30 p.m. A reception will follow at 8 p.m. at the Sheraton Society Hill. Cost is $30 per person. Anyone interested in volunteering to help at the reception should e-mail VEAPDD214@gmail.com

The Operation Brotherly Love Parade will begin at 9 a.m. on Oct. 27. The staging area and parade route has not been set. A rededication ceremony will begin at noon at the memorial. For more information, call 267–973–0600. ••
